AZ launches University

ALKMAAR- AZ is starting its own University. The ambitious platform was launched on Monday and aims for an international audience, broader than just the world of football.

AZ University is a project in which the football club shares its knowledge in many different ways. There will be seminars four times a year, Open Houses at the AFAS Stadion and AFAS Training Facility, online courses and a monthly AZ University podcast.

The AZ University philosophy

AZ is known for its unique way of developing talent. From now on the knowledge behind this will be used in the AZ University programs. These will make sure everybody is able to create their own success, just like the club’s young talents are taught at the training facility.

Football, Business and Lifestyle

AZ University is not a football university as there will also be programs about business and lifestyle. AZ believes its vision is easy to use in a business environment and will help companies, entrepreneurs and employees to grow and learn from football. The program also focuses on a healthy lifestyle, as this is just as important for footballers as for anyone else.

Eenhoorn: ‘Proud to share our knowledge’

AZ’s CEO Robert Eenhoorn: “AZ University reflects and strengthens the ambitions of our football club. A logical next step that we’ve created for ourselves. Because of the success of our academy we get a lot of requests from football clubs and companies to share our vision on talent development. AZ University is here to help everyone create their own success.”
