PSV Eindhoven beat VVV Venlo 4-0

Dutch Eredivisie leaders PSV Eindhoven hosted VVV Venlo at the Philips Stadion on Saturday.

PSV began slowly but eventually began creating chances and after 33 minutes, the opening goal came when Gaston Pereiro combined with Pablo Rosario and Luuk de Jong before feeding Hirving Lozano who found the bottom corner.

In the second half PSV took control with Steven Bergwijn a constant threat. The winger set up De Jong to head in PSV's second on 63 minutes.

Bergwijn then set up substitute Erick Gutierrez to curl in a third before Lozano sealed the victory from the penalty spot in injury time. The spot-kick was given for a foul on Jorrit Hendrix by VVV's Christian Kum which was spotted by VAR.

The win keeps PSV perfect in the league with 24 points from 24 while VVV are back in sixth with 11 points from their eight games.
