Donyell Malen visits the PSV Amputation Team

The Eredivisie will go to all professional football organisations this season to highlight social projects, starting at PSV. The PSV amputee football team is unique in the Netherlands and received a high visit this week from the top scorer of the Eredivisie.

In January, amputee football at PSV started with twelve participants but the squad size has increased already a lot. The story of one participant, 10-year-old Giano, was highlighted. He and his mother were interviewed and recordings were made during the training of the PSV Foundation.

During the training, striker Donyell Malen joined. He also made an attempt to play football on crutches, but that turned out to be pretty difficult. Malen said it was a very nice experience, but he had difficulties moving on crutches. He was very impressed by the team and what PSV means to them.

THE POWER OF FOOTBALL

The Eredivisie takes its social responsibility, together with the clubs, fans and partners, both in the stadium and in the society. In this video serie, we highlight social projects, starting at PSV. The videos are an initiative of the Eredivisie CV, FOX Sports and VriendenLoterij, social partner of the Eredivisie.
