PSV score six in Eredivisie thrashing of FC Emmen

Reigning champions PSV Eindhoven continued their unbeaten run at the Dutch Eredivisie after thrashing FC Emmen 6-0 at the Philips Stadion on Saturday.

Mark van Bommel's team had won all their nine matches so far in the tournament.

The host team gave not opportunities to the visitors scoring four out of six goals in the first half.

Uruguay's international Gaston Pereiro broke the deadlock after just 12 minutes assisted by Steven Bergwijn.

A few minutes later, Mexican playmaker Hirving Lozano found Luuk de Jong - who headed home for 2-0 in the 29th minute.

Seven minutes later, de Jong scored his eight goal of the season from a corner-kick to make it 3-0, and Pereiro added his second of the right before the interval.

In the second half, another Mexican Erick Gutierrez found the back of the net after volleying from another corner-kick to make it 5-0, and Lozano added his name to the scoreboard in the 88th minute assisted by Donyell Malen.

PSV leads the Dutch Eredivisie with 27 points after nine rounds, while FC Emmen rest in 14th position with just eight points.
